The purpose of this specific master thesis is to look into the prospects and the potentialities of the Maritime sector in liquefied natural gas “LNG” market, and in particular, the development that can be achieved by the findings of notable hydrocarbon deposits in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea area. This work will include an overview of the current situation regarding the findings of natural resources by companies operating in the area and the ways of exploiting and transporting these deposits. Also, the market’s probe will include the creation and use of FSRU platforms alongside the construction of natural gas pipelines. In particular, this work will focus on the market that will be created and as a result will appreciate the form, type and size of shipping in the wider region.
