The resources curse, as well as the Dutch disease, depicts issues of great importance, concerning the science of economics. Abundance in natural resources could potentially, not bring growth as expected, in cases of countries in which it might be observed. In order to make concluding remarks, research was required in order to confirm the existence of the resource curse. This research was applied in two separate cases of countries, Venezuela and Nigeria. This research is observed through the spectrum of economical nationalism of International Political Economics, as fundamental macroeconomic measures and general economic elements are analyzed in each case. Through the analysis, it is evident that in both cases the existence of the resource curse, as well as the Dutch disease, is confirmed.
