Information systems were and are an integral part of the development and evolution of businesses. Proper development of these is a "key" in business development and the proper organization of these. With the right systems, businesses can make the right decisions, manage resources, create a strong "bond" with suppliers and customers, but above all they can collect data, process them and create better growth strategies.
In this diploma thesis we will see in the first chapter, the transition of enterprises to cloud computing and how the rapid development of technology can affect an entire enterprise. We will talk about basic cloud computing models and services and we will discuss some of the advantages and disadvantages of this service.
In the second chapter, reference is made to information systems and how they were developed. Three key Information Systems, Information Systems Management (MIS), ERP information systems, which facilitate the company's integrated service and relationship with both its customers and its suppliers, and the CRM Customer Relationship Management System from which companies derive data, process them and develop strategies. All kinds of systems are important for the better and more efficient development of the business.

As technology evolves and businesses are increasingly moving to cloud services, the more vulnerable are data on the internet. That is why the GDPR is analyzed, where we will see why it becomes important. We will analyze basic concepts such as personal data, processing of personal data, the person responsible and processing. It also analyzes data security and the international transfer of data as well as the impact of the rule on cloud services.
The fourth and final chapter analyzes the questionnaire that has been devised and has to do with how well the companies are prepared with the implementation of the regulation as well as the knowledge of the staff both for the regulation and in general what is considered as personal data and for the education on the regulation by the company-company in which they work.
