Abstract
Location based and context aware services, enable businesses to add value to the customer’s in-location experience and can extend the company’s digital interactions with the consumers. Indoor spaces often block cell signals making it impossible to track a customer’s indoor location via existing technologies like GPS, RFID and Cellular tower triangulation etc. All these limitations in the existing technologies can be addressed by using Bluetooth Beacons. Using beacons, retailers can collect data to optimize customer experiences, generate more revenue and improve business processes. In this paper, we are presenting the numerous opportunities that Bluetooth Beacons provide, by creating a platform that makes use of these devices.
