The main objective of this dissertation is to present and analyze the financial instruments of a shipping company, as they are today. Particularly important is the role maritime financing plays in the development of international shipping, since it directly affects the degree of competitiveness of shipping companies at a global level. This is due not only to the fact that the shipping industry is the largest borrower, but mainly to the fact that securing loans in relation to their costs are the fundamental factors leading to the success and prosperity of the business investment decisions of the industry.
