Abstract
Both consumers and manufacturers want high quality products to meetthe needs for which they were built. Through Statistical Quality Control we manage to detectin time the non-conforming products and then enables us to make the required corrections in order to avoid such defects in the future. A fundamental stage of this method is Phase I. The purpose of this thesisis to present the first phase of statistical process control and to analyze the technical backgroundand the methods that lead to the optimization of the productive processes.
