“Container”, a global word, as the services that offer, transporting goods and things all over the world . Container’s significance is huge for the shipping and trade. Since the first time that showed up, changes the standards in liner shipping and its development. If we consider that 95% of goods are transported by sea, this department has contribute significantly in countries’ development and their economies, as well as in their ports’ development, which we will analyze on this study.
The purpose of this study is essay is to study the global development of liner shipping, how we get from a typically carry of goods to a integrated supply chain, and the consequences of this in Greece and its development. Specifically with the coming of China in Greece, how bloomed the port of Piraeus, proving that can create a dominant position in Mediterranean Sea, and most of all how can develop the other ports of country and the prospects of this section in our country.
