Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a mindset that occurs at different levels. Entrepreneurship is linked to the operation of a business and refers to the ability of a person or group to recognize and exploit different opportunities in order to achieve economic gain or any other form of added value. The concept of entrepreneurship refers to individuals, their choices and their actions they take when starting, buying or running a business or participating in decision-making processes. Nowadays, for the successful implementation of a business idea, the ability to combine creativity and innovation with the rigorous management and ability to adapt the business to current developments in a number of areas is a requirement. The entrepreneurship is a key factor for the modern economy in order to obtain the knowledge for economic growth and the creation of new jobs, while contributing to the personal development and the effective coping with numerous phenomena of social pathogenesis. The aim of this thesis is the study of the concepts of Finance and Development regarding entrepreneurship in the European Union as well as understanding of the different conditions prevailing in each country. This thesis includes the analysis related to the Literature Review of business funding over the years, all the relevant theories of Entrepreneurship and Finance, which are those sections that characterize them and finally the ecomomical analysis for the under study variables for 30 countries and 40 years period.
