Abstract

The objective of this thesis is the study and the analysis of Renewable Energy Market in Greece and the comparison between investing in a wind park project and a photovoltaic park project. We will examine the field of application of Renewable Energy Sources, because the demand for energy consumption is very high in Greece. Within this context, we try to approach the current realistic situation of RES technologies in Greece and how they are exploited. We focus significantly on the evaluation of two investments of the same value (wind park vs photovoltaic park) and we prove using all contemporary business finance tools which of the two is more profitable for the investor. So, in order for this study to be considered representative and rational over the data that uses and analyses, it is separated in three (3) equivalent chapters. Initially, we mention and analyse the R.E.S. technologies, their use and their characteristics. Moreover, in the second chapter we screen the current situation of R.E.S. Market in Greece. Finally, in the third chapter we cite and compare the two (2) above mentioned investment projects.
