The present study presents a general theoretical framework of of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The purpose of this study is the presentation and analysis of direct investment in Bulgaria, specifically analyzed the main determinants that influence the the country's behavior and operational framework and subsequently empirically have been tested the causal relationship between direct investment inflows to Bulgaria and the economic growth of the neighboring country.
The collapse of the communist regime in Bulgaria and the effort of the country to the market economy system, alongside a number of important reforms have increased the interest from foreign companies for their capital investment in the emerging Bulgarian market. To analyze the relationship, have used annual data for the period 1991-2015. Finally follows the commentary and presentation of the results and the conclusions drawn.The data processing was done by econometric SPSS 17.0 package.
