At the last decades the environment has become a significant factor of businesses’
everyday life, as a result of two-way influence that is created between that and their
activities. For that reason, management team chooses to recruit people and techniques in
order to eliminate the resulted effects.
Based on this dimension, in the context of this project was selected a business’
environment evaluation and assessment aiming to discovering the environmental risks
posed by the development of the production procedure and processes.
Finding how could be connected and used different methodologies’ tools of
environmental risk’s and impacts’ evaluation and assessment are the primary objectives
of this research, where at the second level are specialized on a case study, where the
combined method will be applied, presenting the realistic side of this research effort.
Concluding the application will be proposed alternative environmental risk
management’s solutions. Case study’s field will be Public Power Corporation’s (PPC)
lignite-fired power plant, which occurs in Unit IV in Megalopolis.
The researched subjects are under the umbrella of scientific fields considered in the
Postgraduate Program MBA-Total Quality Management International at University of
Piraeus, where the author of this master thesis was student.
