Abstract

This master thesis aims to highlight the possibilities for language learning with the help of "smart" mobile devices. We will refer to m-learning and will see what exactly it is and if it has any effect in the learning process. Then we will develop an application will help the users to learn English either individually or as a part of a class, with the help of android devices. In this application, there will be chapters with language learning exercises where the students will discover the new knowledge through trial and error. This application will also provide the opportunity of practicing the new language through simulated dialogues as the application will include a robot (chatterbot) with which the learner can interact. Finally we will create a program for teachers which will give them the ability to manage data of the android application and will provide them with a system for creating classes and manage students and courses.
