This diploma thesis will use statistical research to examine the satisfaction levels of visitors to Spetses Island, in order to evaluate the island’s touristic strategy. This thesis makes use of the SPSS statistics software package, which realizes a statistical analysis of the research data and creates the relevant linear regressions. The research yields useful conclusions regarding tourists’ profiles, the details of their journey, their satisfaction based on multiple other criteria, as well as the strong and weak points of the island. The first linear regression defines the correlative degree of overall satisfaction of a tourist and the degree of partial satisfaction based on other criteria. This will allow us to then determine the specific criteria which need to be focused on, in order to improve the touristic image of the island. To add to this, the second linear regression will seek to prove the strong connection of overall satisfaction of a tourist and the probability of suggesting visiting the island to other tourists. Finally, this research will suggest appropriate measures which will improve the island’s touristic strategy and overall tourist satisfaction.
