Gamification is a topical issue in various fields of application. It is defined as the application of the elements with which games are designed, such as challenges, badges and ranking boards - in a non-game environment, such as that of companies, in order to achieve the goals.
This diploma thesis examines whether the Greek enterprises use gamification as a tool for staff training. The first part of the thesis analyzes the theory around gamification, techniques and how gamification is used.
The second part of the diploma thesis presents the research which was designed using a questionnaire to answer the research questions. Finally, the results are presented analytically from which it arises that most of the enterprises that participated in the questionnaire don't make use of gamification. Furthermore, employees would have a positive performance by implementing this type of training. The results were processed using the SPSS 23 statistical package.
