Cybercrime is usually committed using computer technology. It is increasing due to diffusion of technology, the extended use of computer equipment and due to the growing e-business environment. Compared to the physical crime, it is difficult to handle and it is mostly depended on the peculiarities and the existing legislation between different countries. This study attempts a comprehensive review of the existing legal framework that holds in companies operating in e-business and for the protection of consumers. The main objective of this study is the complete recording and presentation of the entire legislative framework governing strictly online stores. Moreover, it attempts a classification and presentation of the different types of electronic crime and fraud from both the perspective of the owner / operator of a e-business company and the consumers.
