For almost as long as we can remember the word creativity was considered an attribute only individuals can have. Talent, genetics and environment was considered factors that played a significant role but only in the development of a creative person. Once such a person was formulated the common norm was that it could create innovative ideas out of thin air. This perspective has been overthrown over the last years. Now the most important element in order to be creative is considered the input and feedback one gets from his environment and other people. Thus the concept of social creativity entered the academic papers, the university classrooms and slowly but steadily the rest of the world. Social creativity shifts the focus from the individual to the team and tries to find new ways to spark innovation by allowing space and time for ideas to form and grow. Valuable assistant and enabler in all that is none other but the modern era of information technology, the World Wide Web networks and the open societies across the globe. The purpose of this project is twofold. On one hand we will explain and analyze the meaning of the expression social creativity and define the framework in which it operates. On the other we will design and implement a creative research platform for commercial purposes.
