The internet and the market of financial advice

The purpose of this paper is to study the internet in the market of the financial advice. The methodology of the paper is based on the collection of secondary data, through books, journal articles and also through official websites. At first we will study the market for financial advice and specifically the role of the advisor, the investment funds in the market for financial advice, the role of the investor, the bundle of the investment products, the risks for the private investors but also the acceptance of the investment risk. Finally we will study the sector of financial advisors in Greece. The second chapter presents the Euroxx Securities Ltd. Company that provides financial advices and services via the internet. The internet can help the investor that needs financial advices as it is available 24 hours a day, all year and provides online connection with the sources of financial transactions/operations, thus offering access to international financial products and markets, etc. However, it has a basic disadvantage. This is regarding the safety of the financial transactions. The third chapter analyzes the research using the internet sites of financial advisors. Specifically, a survey with a questionnaire which included a select group of investors. The results were based on answers given by investors. Specially, we report the feasibility, the purpose, the research methodology, its implementation and its results. Finally, exhibited the key findings of research which are leading the way to provide suggestions, solutions for the presence of financial advisors on the internet.
