The thesis aims to examine how social media and specifically, Facebook, can be used as a tool of business and the experience of business of the use of Facebook. Initially, analyzes the concepts of social networking and social media, and the rapid spread around the world. Moreover, mentions the functions of marketing in the field of social media, what is the goal of social media marketing and what is the role of the people involved with it. Then, refers to Facebook as scope for business, what are the main features of Facebook that a company can exploit, what benefits will derive an enterprise from using and what are the impacts. Analyze the results of a sample survey through which basic conclusions about the utility – efficiency of Facebook for business, what are the risks that may be encountered by entrepreneurs showcasing their business and if their experience of using Facebook is positive or negative. Finally, the main conclusions drawn from the research is that the majority of respondents businesses consider as Facebook a useful and handy business tool and its use can bring many benefits to the business.
