Through this thesis will be studied the contribution and the timeless evolution of business ethics in shipping industry and international business. Additionally, will be studied the value of an internal code of ethics to achieve the operation’s objectives, its smooth function and the maximum collaboration and productivity of its workers. At the same time, will be examined all the theories according to the meaning of business ethics and will be presented its definition through its historical and social evolution. Finally, will be examined the extent to which the application of ethics in the internal rules of a business has the ability to influence its consumers - clients and to lead in the creation of a modern model of ethical development, which will have also benefits in society.
