In this diplomatic work was created a Safety Management System of a Company which is involved with management of a fleet of oil tankers. The method was inspired by the one that was used from the IMO (International Maritime Organization) in order to establish the ISM Code (International Safety Management). The work has been based firstly on the requirements of ISM (because the Code is the base of the system) and secondly on all the regulations that ask conformity, e.g. requirements of port Authorities, Port State Controls, requirements of the ship’s Class and of course on the requirements of world market trading and transporting oil in bulk with tanker vessels. The virtue of the present diplomatic work is that it does not provide the reader with a simply fully complying with the regulations modern Safety Management System, but the methodology of the buildup step by step. Also even if the load of requirements to be followed and implemented is huge, the System is so well structured so that it allows to the reader and also to the operator a quick familiarization with a small degree of difficulty. The conclusions that will be exported show that the System has been created in order to develop a culture on the Safety and the Protection of Environment among company’s staff, resulting Management of total Safety.
