The aim of this work is to highlight the role of human resources in professional success. The methodology to be followed will be the review of the literature, as well as the references made for the evolution of Human Resources to date. The main objective is to identify and describe the techniques and methods used by a modern human resources department, to contribute to the development and sustainability of the company, always through the proper management of its staff. This master thesis focuses on the professional satisfaction of executives in companies and in particular in a Pharmaceutical Company. Through the research, we will examine the importance of the Human Resources department. Emphasis will be placed on occupational psychology and the importance of its role in the productivity of each worker will be described. It will also analyze the motivation factors given to workers, as themselves can influence the level of job satisfaction. The continuous growth of Human Resources in the Greek market in recent years, as well as its upgraded role will be combined with the expectations of employees in this segment through their continuous development and training. A key factor in achieving the goals of each business is to maximize the skills and abilities of its human resources. In order to achieve this, however, appropriate incentives should be given to workers to increase their interest in work and increase their efficiency / productivity. Initially, the first chapter presents a historical overview of the human resources management and also records the definition and functions of the human resources management. In the next chapter we provide information about the psychology of work and how it can affect people. Describe the process of personalization and integration of the person at work, how to deal with adaptation problems and the process of motivating staff. In the next chapter there are data about the Pharmaceutical Company for which the survey was conducted, while the last chapter presents the research that was implemented by the distribution of questionnaires to a specific sample of employees in this company.
