The purpose of the current thesis is to present the organization and function of the newfound Quality Control Office in a tertiary General Public Hospital of Athens, Greece. To better understand the background of this office and its role in the hospital, an interview with the manager of the office was planned. In addition, related governmental articles were accessed. Through that interview, questions regarding the current office situation, its goals, actions and the results produced were answered. Furthermore, the structure of the Quality Control Office was analyzed. By accessing related articles, the office responsibilities and annual evaluation were further scrutinized. Finally, analysis of the obstacles met during the first year of operation as well as a solution plan was discussed.
