In this work studied the course of revenue and expenditure of the Greek Public Insurance System for the next 30 years and the investment potential from its part.
In the first part, in the first chapter studied the theoretical background of investments for persons and organisations and the theoretical approach of the potential investment from public bodies, the second chapter presents the highly characteristics and the legal framework of the national public insurance system, while in the third chapter are taken into account the findings of the two previous chapters in order to highlight the theoretical approaches of investment opportunities EFKA's behalf, the global and exclusive public security body in Greece.
In the second part and specifically in the fourth chapter the research methodology which consists in the study of the data on the course of Greek public insurance system and estimate of future items regarding the system's course for the next 30 years based on the use of all necessary constraints and assumptions.
In the third part, the fifth chapter studied the course of the system's revenue, mainly concerning insurance contributions of employees, in the sixth chapter the course expenses system for payment of pensions and other benefits and the seventh chapter the viability of the system on the basis of the items of the preceding chapters.
In the fourth part, in eighth chapter studied the different investment options of the national public security system and the potential returns, while the ninth chapter are given examples of investments that could carry out the EFKA as sole operator of public insurance.
Finally, we arrive at useful conclusions about the course and the viability of the Greek Public Insurance System.
