Inventory and comparison of supporting environments of application development and programming cources in all grades of Primary and Secondary Education

The present master’s degree thesis aims at building an application, in which all introductory to programming and application development enviroments are included, as far as primary and secondary education is concerned. Its ultimate goal would be to create a valuable source of information for educators teaching programming in all grades of Greek primary and secondary schools. Besides, the above aforementioned environments are compared and evaluated according to educational and building criteria and the most appropriate educational software is recommeded for each school grade. Finally, teaching scenarios of graded difficulty for primary and secondary education are presented, based on the recommended teaching tools. Thus, pupils will gradually be introduced to the fundamental programming concepts and structures required by the new syllabus for the current school year.
