In order the companies remain competitive to the global market, they invest in improving their logistics chain. In this Thesis, we will discuss the use of third party logistics service providers (3rd Party Logistics or 3PL). The benefits of using 3PL are the advanced customer service, greater flexibility, focusing an organization on its own functions, and improving non-competitive cost structures resulting in cost savings. An important element in the use of these providers is their evaluation, for which several models, criteria and indicators have developed from time to time, such as speed, delivery accuracy, service price, integrity, innovation, creation of new value. The aim of this research is to examine the viewpoint of 20 companies regarding their cooperation with 3PLs providers in terms of characteristics, evaluation criteria and overall satisfaction. With the method of quantitative survey with a sample of 20 companies, the following results were obtained: a) more emphasis is placed on interpersonal relationships, the behavior of 3PLs towards companies, the concept of characteristic innovation, b) emphasis on prices, compliance with regulations, minimization of errors, low cost, cost savings, delivery accuracy and real-time delivery at the assessment criteria level; (c) higher ratings of total satisfaction have gathered the attributes associated with warehouse, management and information as well as interpersonal relationships. However, due to the small sample, further investigation of this issue is necessary.
