The primary objective of the following study is to highlight the decisive role of those people who staff and manage health units, in order to help those units to function appropriately, so as to fulfill their goals. Nowadays the global crisis has brought about significant reductions in the budget of the health sector. The health organizations have to choose a minimum number of workers among the huge numbers of unemployed graduate candidates, a fact that makes the choice very demanding. Moreover, this study aims at stressing the utmost importance of the recruitment in the sector of health. This parameter is crucial in order to develop and improve the health of the population, while at the same time it aims at presenting the real situation of the services of health in the public and private organizations of health. At the development of this study, I tried to analyze all the facts without any details, due to the width of the presentation of the individual topics in the public and private sector. The units of this study focus on the sectors of the recruitment of the staff through ASEP examinations in order to find a job in the public sector, as well as, the selection of staff for the private sector. The required qualifications differ in both cases as to whether the recruitment has to do with medical, nursing or administrative staff. At the end of the study, changes are mentioned which are necessary to be taken in order to improve health centers, though the recruitment of staff who should have not only the formal but also the essential qualifications towards human pain. More specifically: The first unit deals with the health sector and the Administration of the Human Resources domain. In the second unit, it becomes apparent the way H.R.M. functions so as to attract candidate personnel. In the third unit, the choices of personnel are enumerated though mathematic models. In the fourth unit, it is described the way the personnel function in health units. In the fifth unit the focus of the services and the staff in the health sector is mentioned. While in the sixth, the results of the current system of health in our country, are presented, its difficulties as well as suggestions and wishes for an effective operation are expressed. Health is important for everyone. It is essential to watch closely the recruitment of staff and how it develops in different organizations and specifically how it operates in the health sector. We mention the problems that exist in relevant to health professions and how the reality in Greece influences the health sector. Personality and human values are vital for recruitment in the private sector while knowledge and experience for the public. It is an undeniable fact that we do not have enough staff but workers do their best in order to serve health and people in pain, as they have responsibilities as professionals and are sensitive to pain human beings who deserve respect and support. We do wish that by studying the recruitment of the staff in the administrative science of health, so as to help the health organizations in our country.
